Identity Preserved

We are specialists in providing higher value to end-users by contract growing with growers for grains requiring precise specifications. We administer the contracts with the grower, handle and maintain the identity of the crop throughout the grain handling system right through the shipping process direct to the buyer's port of destination or processing plant.

In turn the grower receives a greater return than with standard varieties. We also support the grower with crop consultation services, seed, fertilizer, and provide access to our grain handling system and transportation services.

Our Programs include:

Warburton Wheat Production Contract

This offering is an Identity Preserved program that focuses on specific varieties and qualities of wheat that service the very specific high standards of the Warburton Bakeries in the United Kingdom. Warburtons is one of the most successful and largest bakeries in the UK.

Growers who contract under this program receive a significant premium for their grain in return for following the terms of the contract and attaining the quality standards established by Warburton.

Paterson Grain in turn assists the grower with crop consultation, seed and fertilizer services, and provides exclusive use of our grain handling system and transportation network. In combination with oversight, we identity preserve the crop from seed to harvest right through the shipping process direct to the buyer's port of destination or processing plant.

Hard White Spring Wheat Program

In partnership with the Canadian Wheat Board and Quality Assured Seeds, Paterson Grain can offer an exclusive Hard White Spring Wheat Production Contract. This wheat is an entirely new class and combines the superior quality attributes of Canadian Western Red Spring Wheat (CWRS) along with the milling and flour color benefits found in white wheat. This provides new options for milling customers.

This Identity Preserved program is offering growers a premium of $7.50 per metric tonne over initial and final CWB payments as well as pays storage until the product is called to market.

Non-GMO Soybeans

Paterson Grain is responsible for developing Canada's first Non-GMO Soybean program. This is a complete audited Identity Preserved program which guarantees our end-user buyers and processors the NON-GMO status of soybeans. In return for following the IP protocol growers receive a premium for the certified status of their soybeans.

Malt Barley Production Contracts

Paterson Grain offers growers production contracts for Harrington, Robust and Excell varieties of Malting Barley. These provide the grower access to our deferred input program and to Paterson's Malt Barley customers around the world.

Paterson Grain owns and operates Growers International Sales Inc (GIOSI) Canada's largest exporter of certified organic grains. GIOSI works exclusively with an extensive network of organic producers across Western Canada. We are certified by Quality Assurance International (QAI) and OCCP/Pro-cert both internationally recognized certification programs.
